Team West-Tec have been winning in British and European motorsport for over 20 years. Team Founder Gavin Wills is a multiple Formula Ford Champion in his own right and, has overseen his team win in Formula Ford, Formula Renault, the Ferrari Challenge, and ASCAR / Days of Thunder.
Gavin has always been a motorsport professional, since completing an engineering apprenticeship on leaving school. Rising as far as British Formula 3 as a driver, Gavin then turned his hand to management and design. His Swift Formula Ford car won 21 championships worldwide.
Relocating his base from Plymouth to a much more centrally positioned Corby in 2001, Team West-Tec opened another chapter in its history as it became the most successful team in ASCAR/SCSA racing around the fearsome Rockingham Oval.
Also, when relocating, Gavin met John Miller for the first time and the two became firm friends and now operate the team jointly as Co-Team Principals, with Gavin concentrating on technical considerations and John on commercial matters.
In recent seasons, Team West-Tec has enjoyed tremendous success in Spanish Formula 3 and Speedcar and has also now embarked on challenging for the British F3 International title and the Formula Le Mans series.
“I have known the team since I first raced in Europe, back in 2008, and have always thought highly of them, so I am delighted to be returning to Formula 3 with them now. Although we have missed the first two meetings, I will still be trying everything I can to win the Copa Championship and retain the title won by Callum (Macleod) last year”, said the new team driver, the brazilian Victor Corrêa.
“We are delighted to sign Victor now. We almost signed him for 2009 but unfortunately there was insufficient budget then. We know he is going to be very fast, and we also know he is pleasant to work with, so we are looking forward to some good results”, said John Miller.
“Victor is a proper driver so we are very pleased to be able to work together. Missing the first two race weekends is going to make it very difficult to win the Copa title again, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be giving it 100%”, said Gavin Wills.

Gavin sempre foi um profissional do automobilismo, desde que completou um estágio em engenharia quando era recém saído da faculdade. E enquanto mudava, Gavin conheceu John Miller pela primeira vez e os dois se tornaram colegas de empresa, e agora operam a equipe em conjunto como co-diretores, com Gavin concentrando-se na parte técnica e John na parte comercial.
Nas últimas temporadas, o Team West-Tec tem tido um tremendo sucesso na Fórmula 3 Espanhola e Speedcar e também disputa o título internacional de F3 britânica e Le Mans Series.
"Eu conheci a equipe desde a primeira vez que corri na Europa, já em 2008, e sempre gostei muito deles, por isso estou satisfeito em voltar para a Fórmula 3 com eles agora. Embora tenhamos perdido as quatro primeiras corridas, farei tudo que posso para vencer a Cup Class e manter o título vencido por Callum (Macleod) no ano passado", disse o novo piloto da equipe, o brasileiro Victor Corrêa.
"Estamos encantados por assinar com o Victor agora. Nós quase o contratamos para 2009, mas infelizmente não havia orçamento suficiente. Nós sabemos que ele é muito rápido, e também sabemos que ele é agradável de trabalhar, por isso estamos ansiosos por bons resultados", disse o diretor da equipe, John Miller.
"Victor é um bom piloto e estamos muito satisfeitos em poder trabalhar em conjunto. Ausente dos dois primeiros fins de semana de corrida fica muito difícil conquistar o título da Copa novamente, mas isso não significa que não estaremos dando 100%", disse o diretor Gavin Wills.
